New Zealand is an island country in the south-western Pacific Ocean comprising two main landmasses (the North Island and the South Island), and numerous smaller islands, most notably Stewart Island/Rakiura and the Chatham Islands. The indigenous Māori language name for New Zealand is Aotearoa, commonly translated as The Land of the Long White Cloud. The Realm of New Zealand also includes the Cook Islands and Niue (self-governing but in free association); Tokelau; and the Ross Dependency (New Zealand's territorial claim in Antarctica). New Zealand is notable for its geographic isolation: it is situated about 2,000 kilometres (1,200 mi) southeast of Australia across the Tasman Sea, and its closest neighbours to the north are New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga. New Zealand is a developed country that ranks highly in international comparisons on many topics, including education, economic freedom, and lack of corruption. I've applied for an Indian Tourist visa and didn't realise that my passport expires in June (6 months). I'm planning to go to India in Feb or March which would mean my passport only had 3-4months left on it. Your passport needs to be valid on arrival in India; the required validation of the passport for at least 6 months only had applied to the visa application. Since you also need a valid passport to get back home it actually must be vadlid during your entire journey. You must demonstrate that you know all the law, all the geography of the area in which you intend to work, and can handle a vehicle with precision. It may take 6 months. I'm surprised that any site in NZ refuses to accept an American credit card as long as it is an internationally recognised one such as say Visa or Mastercard. Sometimes website retailers won't accept a delivery address that is not the one registered as the billing address, but that is also becoming less common.
