What exactly is a ghost and how come only certain people become ghosts?
Q. Everyone knows or thinks they know what a ghost is but they are never certain. I want to know exactly what they are. Secondly we've heard of famous ghost in history ( if they are real or not is a different story), but why are just those people ghosts when there are hundreds of other people that have had the the same problems in life or the same demise.

A. This answer could be rather long but bear with me. I see spirits because I was born that way. I see solids, which are earthbounds. They look normal. I also see spectrals which are white and indistinct. Now if I die tonight, and fail to see the tunnel, I could wake up next day and carry on without realising my changed circumstances. Then I am earthbound. Some spectrals come direct from the otherside and are only visiting. Other spectrals are there because they are trapped. Past crimes and all that. Another group of spectrals are created by negativity, playing with talking boards can open a channel to those. not advised. A final group of spectrals are those created through Astral Projection. As to what makes up a ghost, this is what I know.… [cont.]

How do I make a ghost image to use for many different models of computers with sysprep?
Q. I want to make a company ghost image for many different computer models not using seperate images for each model since that takes up so much space. We use many different models of Dell computers. Can I just use an image from one model, ghost it onto another model, update those drivers, ghost it, then ghost to another machine, update its drivers, then keep going until the image has all the drivers for all models? Or do I put all these drivers in a directory for sysprep to find?

A. There are always errors when using Ghost programs. I have read about it, and everyone has problems. The only way it will work is if you have EXACT computers with all the same motherboards, components, operating systems, and configuration. Whenever you try to ghost a PC with one configuration to a PC with a different configuration, you will have problems. It's better just to make backups of the data, have all your installation CDs, and go from there. If you are organized, it will go quickly. I read about Ghost to use to transfer data from my old to new computer. After I read it, I said forget it. Instead I used an external hard drive, got all my data organized, installation discs ready, and it was a breeze. I could repeat it easily… [cont.]

How does Ghost Hunters get the flash light to turn off and on?
Q. I use to like Ghost Hunters but after watching so many shows some of it seems a little hokey. Like why is it always the light they can turn off but can't do anything else. Some of the things I just don't believe are ghosts. But, how do they do it with the light?
Asked by sambone - Sat Dec 19 00:46:06 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I think sometimes it is a little over the edge, but at the same time, if you weren't a believer before the show and you're watching it, expecting it to turn you into a believer...you're just gonna end up thinking its fake. Its isn't always real, but I don't think that its always fake either. The live ones? Those are fake. There was one where they set up a camera and there was a head at the end of the hallway peeking out, I doubt that was fake. Some things are hard to fake. The flashlight is a really hard debunk, but I'm sure there's a way. Poke it with something and edit it out later? Lots of camera tricks could get rid of it.

My daughter and her roommate are seeing ghost. What should we do to drive the ghost away?
Q. They are college sophomores staying in a dormitory near the school. There are, actually, four of them in the room. Its only the two of them who can see the ghost. The ghost is a girl, aged maybe 18 yrs old, Asian and petite. She looks like one of their roommates. Also, she does not speak nor hurt them physically but always sleeps beside one of the roommates. Pls help!

How hard are RCS compared to Ghost shrimp to care for?
Q. Well i've been caring for ghost shrimp for the past few months, and they've been doing fine. I'm planning on getting some RCS in the future and i wanted to know how much more difficult it is to care for RCS compared to ghost shrimp. Personal experience from you guys is what i'm looking for so, thanks in advance :) RCS as in red cherry shrimp
Asked by gamexeater - Wed Apr 16 17:19:39 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I prefer red cherries just because they will eat algae and don't need to be fed every day (although they do need some feeding). The ghosts I had did produce young which matured but the ghosts wouldn't eat algae and we had to make sure they all got fed. Plus I like the contrast of little red shrimp against the greenery. And the adult shrimp don't eat the babies. We've had an ongoing 10g. tank of red cherries for over 7 years now--never have had to clean it out but there are tons of plants in there (any time plants in our other tanks develop algae, we dump them in the shrimp tank and within 2 weeks, all the algae has been cleaned off and the plant can go back into the original tank), I just top it off with spring water. About once a… [cont.]

Will ghost or cherry shrimp damage live plants?
Q. I'm planning on getting a male betta and 5 cherry OR ghost shrimp. I have a 5 gallon hex with filter, heater, and live plants. Will the shrimp hurt or eat the plants? Also which type of shrimp is better and why? I had 3 ghost shrimp and 2 jumped out of another tank I had only after killing the other.

A. I have a feeling the Betta will eat the Cherry Shrimp. But both shrimp don't eat live plants, unless the leaves are soft or they run out of a primary food source.

How do I feed my ghost shrimp without letting the betta hog everything?
Q. I have a betta, five ghost shrimp, and one of those little fish that sucks the side of the tank in my aquarium. Do we need to feed the fish that sucks the side of the tank and the shrimp? I read that you can feed the shrimp fish food, but whatever we put in the tank gets eaten by the betta right away. We don't want to put too much food in and overfeed the betta, but we don't want the shrimp to starve. What should we do?
Asked by theturtleparty - Fri May 22 01:35:14 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I feed my shrimp catfish wafers from Hikari. They instantly sink to the bottom and if you drop them right, while distracting the betta, you can aim to let the wafer fall behind an ornament where the shrimp can easily get at it. Truth be told, I watched my shrimp practically slap my betta in the face before snagging a wafer and scurrying off with it. As for the algae eater you can feed him lettuce, or zucchini slices secured to the side with a veggie clip.

How do you take care of ghost shrimp?
Q. I am thinking about putting 2-3 ghost shrimp in a 2.5 gallon tank. How do I care for them? I have already done internet research but would like to learn more.
Asked by FuzzyMonster - Wed Jul 18 23:01:44 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Do you have any other fish in there? Be careful because ghost shrimp are often a favorite food of a lot of other fish. Luckily, 2.5 gallons is small enough that fish that would fit in there really wouldn't be able to EASILY eat a ghost shrimp. Ideally get at least 5-6 for them to thrive. They are fine in smaller groups but do better in a larger one as long as there is enough space and no competition for food. Give them hiding places for when they molt. (They are too easily attacked during that time.) They will eat any time of fish food and will swim up to get it as well as wait for it to fall to them, depends on the personality of the individual shrimp and the safety of the tank waters. Being virtually invisible, you might not see… [cont.]

A. For a "Hunting answer", According to the Ca. DFG "Ghosts" are not listed among the approved game list. Therefore they are protected and there is no season or limit. The question should have been posted in the religion section. Now for a religious answer, Ghosts are not what most people think they are. Many assume that they are the spirits of departed humans. This is far from the truth. Ghosts are demons, angels that were kicked out of heaven with lucifer and his cohorts. They are here to deceive even the most Elect into believing anything other than the the truth of the living word of God. It is no joke to be messing with the devil and unless you yourself are a "Born again" believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and… [cont.]

A. I don't know why you're referring to it as a ghost partition, but Dell has probably set aside that space for some reason. Also your values don't make any sense: a 13GB primary partition? Either you mistyped that or your hard drive is failing in a big way. And finally, extending your primary partition won't give you a little more speed at all. If anything, increasing the size of the file allocation table will slightly slow down your access times. Where you got this idea I don't know. If you want to delete a partition you can download an external utility which will give you great control, or you can just use the features built into Windows. I'm assuming you're running Windows, you failed to indicate. Right-click My Computer and select… [cont.]

how do you breed tropical fish and ghost shrimp?
Q. I have a breeding net but I can't tell the differences between male and female and I don't know how to breed ghost shrimp either i have frogs that I want to breed also. I need help !
Asked by Jester - Sun Feb 17 16:34:56 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Easy to breed tropical fish: guppies -male smaller and more colour/female bigger less colour swordtails / PLATIES / black mollies / sailfin mollies / velifera mollies -male usually smaller + slimmer and has gonopodium and sword on tail ghost shrimp: Females grow larger than the males. They carry their greenish-grey eggs attached to their swimmerets (just like crayfish). The eggs look as if they re inside their bellies because their legs look like part of their abdomens. If you want babies, you d be ahead to isolate egg-bearing females in their own maternity tank. The babies cling to the swimmerets once they hatch out. Nearly all fishes love baby ghost shrimps.

black ghost knife fish and oscar compatablility, could I keep them in the same tank?
Q. I know what oscars are compatible with, but I have done quite a bit of research and all I can find is the black ghost is good with any other very large community fish. I have the tank size to house 1 of each specimen. I have a 100 gallon and each fish only gets to 1 foot. I know that oscars leave most fish alone that live on different levels of the tank. An oscar is a middle dwelling fish so it leaves plecos, and other bottom fish, and most top dwelling fish. Thanks!
Asked by al - Thu Sep 20 17:15:43 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. it should be fine, but add hiding places like pumbling pipes or ghost pipes. My largest black ghost was not 1 foot, it was nearly 2 feet. around 21 inches long. The oscar will reach about 13-15 inches long. They are usually ok together, as like you said they are in different zones, but i would include a hiding places for the ghost.

Asked by The Fish Lover - Thu May 21 22:26:53 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Don't put any aggressive fish with the ghost knife, or any fast moving fish, or any fin nippers. Angel fish who are peaceful can be put with the ghost knife, but beware of those angel fish who are fin nippers as angel fish can move fast and ghost knife's don't! I would put it in with a silver dollar or a silver shark, and some gourami's. Remember to put in lots of plants and ornaments so the ghost knife has somewhere to hide! And if you don't have an air stone then put one in! The ghost knife will love the air pumping through :) Be careful of the size as well, try and get one that is larger then the other fish you want to put in there!
